FEATURING:

Sejal Shah is the author of the debut short story collection How to Make Your Mother Cry: Fictions and the award-winning debut essay collection, This Is One Way to Dance, an NPR Best Book of 2020. Her work has appeared in the Guardian, Conjunctions, Guernica, the Kenyon Review, and Literary Hub. In 2021, she was named an influential AAPI Leader by Good Morning America and ABC News. Sejal lives in Rochester, NY.

Neema Avashia is the daughter of Indian immigrants, and was born and raised in southern West Virginia. She has been an educator and activist in the Boston Public Schools since 2003, and was named a City of Boston Educator of the Year in 2013. Her 1st book, Another Appalachia: Coming Up Queer and Indian in a Mountain Place was named Best LGBTQ Memoir of 2022 by BookRiot, was one of the NYPL’s Best Books of 2022, and was a finalist for the New England Book Award, the Weatherford Award, and a Lambda Literary Award. She lives in Boston with her partner, Laura, and her daughter, Kahani.

Rahul Mehta is the author of the novel No Other World, the short story collection Quarantine, and most recently the poetry collection Feeding the Ghosts. Their work has received a Lambda Literary Award and an Asian American Literary Award and has appeared in numerous publications including the Kenyon Review, the Massachusetts Review, the Georgia Review, The Sun, and the NY Times Magazine. Born and raised in West Virginia in a Gujarati-American household, they currently live in Philadelphia, PA.
